iPhone Duo
Apple sidestepped the magic of the new iPhone Duo by focusing on boring uses for it.
The iPhone Duo looks good (especially those simplified lock screens, + the immediately beloved open/close effect, ooo). I want one.
HOWEVER, in making it, so far it seems Apple asked itself: How can I simultaneously watch TV and text better? Or take selfies easier? Or see even more negative space on minimalist websites? What fun!
I know users want these features, but is this all Apple should aspire to? Is this the core of why foldable should exist? I can’t make up my mind.
Part of me thinks this version of foldables doesn’t change much (here and here). I like the format, what more can we do with it?
